I’ve made another wordpress theme ! This one isn’t so special because I wanted to see how fast I can develope a simple theme and to my surprise, I managed to finish it in 3 hours.

The theme’s name is “technology blog” and you can find more info about it at technology society.

In the first part of this tutorial – “How to create a celebrity blog” I’ve told you a few things about this niche and in today’s lesson, I’ll talk about information, how to stay informed all the time, a list of celebrity/gossip blogs and forums which you should read and a few more things!

Information, where are you?

Getting information is one of the key parts in any blogger’s internet journey. Without it you are quite “dead” in this business and we don’t want that! So, specifically in the celebrity/gossip niche you have three ways to stay informed all the time:

1. The normal way – reading online magazines, blogs and eventually subscribe to their rss feed, to make things easier. Below you can see a list of top notch blogs and websites which I read,

You should subscribe to their rss feed with a feed reader like Google Reader. Also take in consideration to use Google News and technorat. You can see a little tutorial how to subscribe and how to use Google News here.

2. In my opinion pictures represent more than words, because if you decide to blog in this niche you’ll see that photos and videos are essential. Why? Because based on a single picture you can write an all article, with your personal opinion on how stars look, how they are dressed up, what they did and so on; it will help you give a personal touch to the article and of course your readership will appreciate that. On the other hand you’ll see that there are a few forums, which I listed bellow , that gather almost all the new celebrity related pictures and videos (some HQ)on the internet and they should represent your main source of inspiration (and traffic I’ll explain this too):

3. The third method is combining the two above in an efficient way. Let’s say you have a set of pictures from the forums, with Britney Spears in Hawaii, smoking weed with Paris Hilton. It is your time to be sarcastic (as GMZ said in his comment), write an article about it; by the way don’t wary, you won’t be arrested for this, so talk a bit dirty! Also search on other blogs for related posts or infoarmation about the photos or past actions, here is an example of extended information/gossip: “yes Britney smoked weed with Paris Hilton but last year she was in Honolulu, smoking weed with Lindsay Lohan”. Combine all the information you gathered and you have a great post!

The qulity on the printscreens is a bit low because they are jpg, but as I said there isn’t any differences between the two formats. The press is comparing the BluRay and HD DVD battle with the battle between VHS and Betamax videotape but the current contest is diffrent because a part of the manufacturers are making machines that play both formats. As for this the big movie production studio Warner Brothers announced that they will make their movies in both formats ,but not as seperated products, on a twosided disk. The first firm that brought a machine that can read both formats is LG but the problem is that a lot of people hesitate to buy their product because they are waiting to see which format wins.
As many of you know the HD DVD disk has 15 GB and the BluRay disk has 25 GB but bot use different types of compression HD is using MPEG-4 and the other is still using MPEG-2. This isn’t a problem because both can store full length movies so a lot of manufacturers are offering dual-layer disks and some are trying to create a triple-layer disk. It’s insane how this guys are fighting for the market instead of reuniting their powers and create a single format, because as I said there aren’t any huge differences.
