This is a good question if you are involved in blogging for over a year. Why? Because it’s time to review what really worked for you in 2007. It’s a good idea if you take one hour from your time and think about what you have realized this year, with your blog or in your niche and so you will be able to figure out if it is worthy to continue so or change something. Here are a few things you should consider thinking about if you want 2008 to be a better year for you!

Heh, 2 years ago I think, I was trying to make money online with adsense, only by posting comments on Hi5.com, most viewed profiles. It was a very simple process, for one hour of posting comments I was making around 150$/day, but why was it simple? Because I was redirecting huge traffic, around 30000-40000 unique users/day to my websites which were optimized for some high paying keywords, like cancer, banking… you know them :). Redirecting those users was very simple, all I need was a little flash object, with a width of 1px and height 1px, made of course with one of the simplest flash authoring tools, SwishMax, with the following code in it(saved it as a .swf file):

I just got an email form Clicksor Publishers Program saying that they decided to release a new version of Ad MarketPlace on 1.10.2007 with some new futures/benefits that will help you transform you blog into a money making blog. So here are the new futures:
First and maybe the most important is Controllable Rates. Why? Because you can set your own rates for CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) and CPD (Cost Per Day) rates. This is nice because you can earn more money now with your own rates.
The second future is that you can increase your earnings by selecting advertisers from Clicksor’s partners network in order to fill your advertising space.
Third future will allow you to control the advertisements listed. So you can approve or disapprove the advertisers that show on your blog, website and you can match them to your website to increase the stickiness of your users. Also this is really good for advertisers because they will be better targeted and so they won’t pay money for traffic that isn’t interested in their content.
Fourth is that you can increase your website’s exposure. You can increase your online presence of your website and to people who are looking for audiences that your website provides. We will also do promotions for the Ad MarketPlace so your reach is limitless.
In the end, I think that Clicksor is giving all bloggers, webmasters the opportunity to make money with their work because of the way they are will be able to control the pricing as well as the future that allows them to accept or reject ads that aren’t targeted to their content. You can visit their website here if you aren’t a publisher yet (don’t worry it’s not a referral).
This year, 2007, in my opinion it could be called “Widgets Year”. Why? Because widgets are all over the blogosphere and because a lot of big companies have launched their own “line” of wonderful thingies that make our live easier. The best example I can give for my statement is that in the last two weeks the, three types of widgets were released.
The first one is Blogrush, whose owner is John Resse, the famous internet guru who made one million dollars in 24 hours. Now I won’t talk about John, maybe in a future post, but his widget is fantastic because it is sending you free traffic. For every impression your widget makes, you get an impression on one of the websites from the category you are in. You can find more info here.
