Two days ago I tried, as a practice, to use a few fonts like Georgia and Geneva and in the end I came up with a new wordpress theme which you can see live here. This wp theme is called AcosminTYPO and I think that for 2 days of work it’s quite simple and old school looking. Also you have a download link bellow and I hope you enjoy using it.

Which browser do you chose? Opera 9.5 or Firefox 3? I for example won’t use neither one for now, because both of them have bugs, even thought Opera 9.5’s official release day was a few days ago and Firefox 3 download day is tomorrow, 17 June 2008. I must admit I like Firefox more and the main reason I won’t use v3 is because most of the add-ons are not updated for this version and on the other hand I like this war between browsers.
Most of you don’t know but in the late 90’s there was an intense war between Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, a fight for dominance which ended with Netscape’s victory because Bill Gates was a lame copycat. Too bad for him because even now his product, IE, is a piece of …, a result of Microsoft’s incompetency to create an original browser. Also this war was constructive because Netscape struggled to bring something new with every new update and that is why the war between Opera 9.5 and Firefox 3 is interesting. If Opera brings something new, Firefox should too and vice versa. For example Opera isn’t using as much resources as Firefox and it opens websites 50% faster.

As I said in my last post, AcosminMAG was in a beta version. Now because some of you tested this wordpress theme and reported me some major bugs, I managed to fix some of these problems. So here is AcosminMAG v1 with the following bugs fixed:
- Page navigation (PageNavi) problem fixed
- Search page wasn’t working - fixed and I added a search form which you can see in the right sidebar
- If you want to use CoolPlayer for Featured Videos you should take in consideration that you need a RPC server, this is a script which you can download from here. Also you can use any type of plugin for this option, just modify the width of the video to 290 pixels and the height to any size you prefer.
- For the Recent Comments plugin when you add the output template, instead of {author} add {commenter} and it will show the commenter’s name.

Download AcosminMAG Wordpress Theme v1.0 (unknown, 1,708 hits)
It is time to release a new wordpress theme, a theme which I think is much better and improved than my latest ones. The theme’s name is AcosminMAG, “mag” comes from magazine because as you can see from the live demo, this actually is a magazine style wordpress theme. Also you should take in consideration that this is the beta version, so if you find some bugs let me know about them and I will handle them.
